Bernard is in the bar.

At the usual table.

So tired.

So, so tired.

The kid's a doll, but he doesn't sleep more than two hours at a time.

His mun couldn't quite get things done early enough to do a tending post.

His mun also has to go to bed early-ish, so. Be aware. :D

Charlie pulls over a chair. He has a bottle of Cuervo Gold and two shot glasses. "I think I promised you a drink, bossman."

Bernard grins in response.

"That you did."

Charlie opens the bottle and pours, grinning too. He hands over one. "To Anthony and your fair missus."

He raises his glass.

"And to Sunny, too."

A tall woman with long, pale blonde hair approaches his table.

"Excuse me, are you Bernard Wrangle?"

Bernard cocks an eyebrow, half-smiling.

He can, perhaps, surmise who this is.

"Yes, I am."

"Excellent." She offers a thin smile. "I am Narciss aMalfoy. One of your waitresses was to have left a note for you on my behalf. I wish to discuss some thing with you."

"Yes, Elaine mentioned that you are newly-arrived. How can I help you?"

[ooc: Do you have any chat programs? Am just wondering if your Narcissa is from the Milliways AU universe where Dora Tonks is married to Bernard, and Lucius has had major dealings with him, or not.]

Helen, seeing Bernard, comes over, smiling warmly. "Bernard! This may be a bit late, but congratulations!"

A bright, tired grin.

"Thanks, Helen."

Helen smiles brightly back. "Also, thank you for the Christmas Basket!" She beams. "As well as the prompt response to my note. Has she found you?"

"She has, and you're welcome." A sigh. "Very odd woman, my wife's aunt."

Snow's mun also must sleep early, so she quickly drops off a care package for the new mother.

There's a big red soft and squishily-stuffed teddy bear, about a pound of good Swiss chocolate, a grownup-size fuzzy blanket, pacifiers, fixings for tea and cocoa, and three gift certificates for a full night of babysitting.

Oh, my.

Bernard takes the package, grinning, and nods at Snow gratefully.

They'll be using those babysitting certificates.

Snow smiles back before heading off. She has been there, and knows just how especially exhausing the first week or so can be.

[OOC: Because I was too lazy to post this to the bar last night]

There's a letter for Bernard with the bar.

The writing is round, careful and precise.

Dear Mr. Bernard,

Thank you very much. You are very kind. I am all right.

Thank you very much again.

It will be a very beautiful tree.

Sincerely,

Mary Lennox
