Wesley looks over her shoulder.

"Is it an elephant?"

Fred gives him a look. One that says you did not just call my highly scientifically accurate drawing an elephant.

"Does it look like an elephant?" she demands, indignantly. Then, tilting her head to one side, she frowns at the paper.

"Oh. Yeah, I can kinda see where you'd get that."

"Yes. Or, perhaps, a penguin."

Wesley headtilts to get a better look.

Fred tears the page out, crumples it up, and throws it at him.

...

That's what you get when you insult the girl's drawing.

It was not a penguin.

There's someone in the bar tonight who couldn't possibly be bored out of his skull, because that's all he is.

Morte floats over to Fred, hovering above the heads of most humans - unless people are looking up, they won't spot him. The reason for this becomes clear when he peeks over Fred's shoulder at her notebook. Hopefully it's a diary full of salacious secrets!

Fred barely glances back when she realizes there's someone staring over her shoulder.

"Hold whatever thought you're thinking, I'll be with you in a minute." she says, absently, and scratches out a few numbers underneath her diagram before making a correction and oh my God that was a floating skull.

The notebook is promptly forgotten, as Fred gives a little shriek and turns to gape at said floating skull.

Darn. No diary for Morte.

"The things I'm thinking about you probably shouldn't be repeated in a public area," the skull replies flirtatiously.

He clicks his teeth a few times.

[ooc: grah! Sorry for the unannounced slowtime!]

[OOC: If this is too late, say so and I'll delete this. I totally don't mind.]

Ben looks kind of happy to see her.

"Fred. Hey."

[ooc: I'm going to bed soon, but have other threads going, so will tag until I need to call slowtime?]

"Hey Ben!" Fred says, with a warm smile.

"How've you been? I haven't seen you around."

[OOC: Awesome!]

"I'm fine. Been about, sorta." He's been doin' his introvert thing.

"You?" He smiled back.

"Things have been surprisingly good. Which, given this place, is saying a lot." she replies.

"Oh, sorry I was such a mess the last time you saw me." Fred says, wincing slightly at the memory. "There was some magical weirdness going on, we still haven't figured out what yet, but I'm fine. Mostly."
