Darien trots down the steps, still a little weirded out by life, the universe, and everything but dealing with it. Loud orange pants and a tank top make sure he's visible enough. Behind him, still a little weirded out by the end of life, the universe and everything (or maybe just the drinking establishment that seems to have situated itself there

"DARIEN!!!!!!!!!!!!"

And he is attacked by a super agile super girl. In a good way. With a huge hug.

He looks down at the young girl clinging to him and chuckles before putting down his beer. Then he looks to Kevin.

"Don't ask me."

He peers down at Violet.

"Glad to make your acquaintance. Friend of Charlie's?"

Kevin blinks at the girl and offers a hesitant, "...hi!"

She blinks. "No...friend of yours." She looks at him, very confused and more than a little hurt. "Don't you remember?"

"So how long have you been coming here?"

[qsilver_lab_rat]

"Month or so. Came in here the first time just after--"

He looks sideways at Kevin before taking a long gulp of his beer.

"Uh, yeah. You can see where I was going with that."

"Yeah", Kevin says quietly. "Seems a good place."

He grins and takes another sip.

"Yeah, met Charlie here. Got a couple of other friends too, some of which apparently knew me from when I was here the first time which...was...later than when I came in this time. It's kinda confusing, but not too bad."

Sip.

"I know a vampire."

Charlie doesn't like worrying, for all that he does it a lot. But the sight of the two of them talking and drinking and all . . . this can only mean good things, right?

He throws his arms around Darien's neck from behind and kisses his neck rather loudly. "Hullo, love--hullo, Kevin." He grins at Kevin over Darien's shoulder.

Darien turns around and smooches Charlie unrepentantly for .35 seconds before turning to look at Kevin.

"You don't mind, right?"

He doesn't wait for an answer, however, before going right back to the kiss. It...takes a while. Charlie deserves a very good kiss for he was an absolutely wonderful boyfriend last night and, as soon as Kevin has a room of his own (albeit one nearby theirs, hopefully), Charlie will be rewarded for his good works.

Kevin obligingly turns his attention to the rest of the room. There's a lot to look at, after all.

Charlie laughs, with an apologetic glance at Kevin from the corner of his eye, and keeps his arms around Darien's neck. "You okay?" he asks in an undertone.
