Darien trots down the steps, still a little weirded out by life, the universe, and everything but dealing with it. Loud orange pants and a tank top make sure he's visible enough. Behind him, still a little weirded out by the end of life, the universe and everything (or maybe just the drinking establishment that seems to have situated itself there

"DARIEN!!!!!!!!!!!!"

And he is attacked by a super agile super girl. In a good way. With a huge hug.

He looks down at the young girl clinging to him and chuckles before putting down his beer. Then he looks to Kevin.

"Don't ask me."

He peers down at Violet.

"Glad to make your acquaintance. Friend of Charlie's?"

Kevin blinks at the girl and offers a hesitant, "...hi!"

She blinks. "No...friend of yours." She looks at him, very confused and more than a little hurt. "Don't you remember?"

He sighs.

"Okay," he gestures to the bar with one hand as the other pats her gently on the arm, "from what I understand, I came in here from later in my timeline the first time, so now people know me and I don't know them."

He gives her a friendly, reassuring smile.

"But the way I figure it, if you were my friend then, there's no reason for you not to be my friend now. And you seem like a nice enough girl, kid."

She wrinkles her nose. "You used to call me that."

Part of her was hoping that it was simply because she'd gotten older, even though she knew she still looked the same.

"So you don't remember at all then. Well I guess you can't remember if you haven't been here yet...or something."

She glances at Kevin. "Hi."

And then she remembers something that's probably important. "I'm Violet."

He chuckles again and slings an arm around her with a smile.

"Well, very nice to meet you, Violet. Gotta say I haven't gotten that nice of a greeting in ages, at least not from a pretty girl."

He nods to the seat next to him.

"Want something? I'm, uh, kinda celebrating."

He nods to Kevin.

"Got this dork here back after a little, uh, mishap."

He smiles at Kevin too, just...happy he's there.

Kevin smiles back, letting the 'dork' pass.

"Good to meet you, Violet."

"So..."

Yeah now this was a little awkward.

"You were like a brother to me before. I'm going to assume you're still as great a guy as you used to be. I'm older now. So that's kind of funny. You're younger than you were, and I'm older than I was."

She blushes, hair falling down into her face a bit.

He brushes her hair away from her face with a gentle hand. He's always had a soft spot for kids, always been pretty good with them too. And this one was going around complimenting him.

"Life's funny. And the way I figure it, there's plenty of room for a little sister."

He grins at Kevin and gives an innocent look.

Kevin raises his eyebrows, but nods.

"We never had a little sister."

He rolls his eyes.

"Doesn't mean we can't get one. It's not like we've got a surplus of family, Kev."

Blink.

"I wasn't saying we couldn't."

"But you don't know anything about me anymore...or...yet." She blinks a few times. "Whatever. We got close because..." But then she glances at Kevin. Was he trustable?

He shakes his head at the look.

"That's my brother, Vi. You got anything you want to say, you can say it in front of him."

And she glances at him again and then...

dissappears.

Yay for invisibility right?
