It has only been a day. Thor and Loki lived inside Loki's mind for 10 years. 10 years inside dreamland/mind is equivalent to one whole day in reality. So if they keep living another 50 years inside Loki's mind, Loki will be sleeping another 5 days.
According to the movie Inception (this fic is inspired from there), time seems to move faster inside our dream than in reality.
Anyway, thank you so much! Glad you loved this fic! *squeezes you*
Wish there will more fic like this, not just merely a smut...
I personally believe that Thor might be the only one who stil truly cares about Loki, even when Loki started to practiced magic and became a trickster, even when the others hated and were wary of him. Heck, he still cares about him even when Loki fights against in The Avengers. If only Thor would show his affection more often, perhaps Loki wouldn't fall into madness, because then he would know that there is still someone who loves him. Hiddleston said that the opposite of love isn't hate, but indifference, and Loki hates his brother. I think maybe he meant that Loki in someway, still cares about Thor, but it's just so twisted.
Goodness, I'm sorry, I wrote to much didn't I >.< my bad!
Don't be. I loooooove long comment =D (see how long I spell love)
I agreed that the opposite of love is indifference. See, when we hate someone, we constantly think of that person which is equivalent to when we love someone and constantly thinking of that person too. Decades of being ignored/scorned by others and finally, finding out you are a Jotun and stupid damn Odin isn't willing to give Loki a second chance became the point of his breakdown to madness.
If only Odin gives Loki a second chance, he still can be saved. Thor does not even want him to let go of Gungnir but that bastard Hannibal Odin had to say bloody NO!
When I write this fic, I want Thor to understand Loki. Thus, saving him from becoming more deranged. And also at the same time he learnt how to be a wise king while living a decade inside Loki's mind.
It reminds me of what Loki said in The Mighty Thor: Loki/Blood Brothers when he gained Asgard and manage to imprison Thor and Odin. He was standing in a well and contemplating about Thor. "Over all the millennia, only you have ever loved me, Thor. Only you have ever looked at me with affection in place of condescension. Why, then, am I killing you, and not the others? …Because you stopped"
Over all the millennia, only you have ever loved me, Thor. Only you have ever looked at me with affection in place of condescension. Why, then, am I killing you, and not the others? …Because you stopped
WHY DOES THIS MAKE ME WANT TO WRITE ANOTHER FIC?!
ps. Thank you so much darling! Glad you enjoyed the story. *hugs*
Loki is such a complicated character, such a fanfic fodder. Him and Thor actually.
I mean I first encountered him when my boyfriend, who was still my friend that time, linked me to the scan of A Mighty Thor: Loki scan. He pointed out that I would love the bromance between the two since he knows I enjoy reading fanfictions and shipping characters.
I mean I'm more leaned on DC because of Tim Drake, but man with those feelings and lines, I just fell inlove with him.
Then my boyfriend dragged me to thor and Tom hiddleston with his puppy eyes and brilliant performance I just fell inlove and couldn't resist anymore, I just had to follow him and his story.
I want to write to but I'm horribly out of practice. Because loki is awesome and he deserves all the attention he gets.
I seriously should check out A Mighty Thor: Loki!!! Honestly, Loki is a very compelling character. He is the most misunderstood with his deep-rooted feelings of hatred AND longing for Thor.
I could really imagine him saying to Thor "I hate you so much because I love you too much."
Tom Hiddleston had made Loki even more beautifully tragic, I mean I could really feel Loki's pain, his resentment for his brother but also wanting to be accepted (and love). He even begged for a second chance!
Oh nooes darling you should write. I would totally look forward to it. I could see that Loki had made such an impression on you. After I'm done with my Thor/Loki Edwardian era fic (and a birthday fic for my beta, it's bout mobster!Thor and mobster!Loki...gawd I blamed on the fact that I've been watching The Godfather and Goodfellas and too much of Boardwalk Empire!), I want to delve deeper into Loki's complexity and I thank you for sharing that heartbreaking statement. It is really inspiring!

Just checking though, when both of them awoke, has it really been ten years or just after Thor went into Loki's mind??
