My mother called me trashy for getting tattoos. She said I looked like a "billboard" and would never find a man.

Now I am tattooed and married to a man with tattoos.

It hurts but all you can do it suck it up.

I'm a little confused.

Is it the people who serve in the military all suck or is it I don't believe in sending our troops to the middle east. Two different scenarios that one.

I'm not sure why anyone would call you trashy for being a military gf. I think I was removed from that a lot because I'm Canadian and spent our relationship that was pre-marriage in Canada. So I was spared a lot of that and my family was really supportive of me.

It's going to hurt when anyone says anything like that but just try to shrug it off. if you're happy that's all that should matter.
