I like my job - I'm reasonably good at it, the people who run things generally have their heads on straight, there isn't much drama, and there's sufficient support.  The pay could be a little better, but I suppose that's true of everybody's job.

Back 10 years ago when I was nearly 40, I got really depressed.  It came on very suddenly, and the feeling was akin to swimming in the ocean, bouncing up and down on the waves, smiling at the seagulls, and then suddenly having the tide go out and dump me on the dry sand.  Nothing to show for it but seaweed and cellulite.
