Danny had escaped the Mitchell household, but just barely. It was a good thing too, because if he had to help with one more batch of Christmas cookies, he might of done something unforgivable. Like throw a tray across the room while pitching a fit.

Really. There were only so many trees and stars a guy could decorate before he went insane.

Dani felt a need to get out of her room, so she found herself walking through the park. The weather certainly didn't bother her since she had brand new boots, an early Christmas present from Daddy.

Duo mostly just enjoyed watching everyone else prepare for their holiday. Christmas was a little bit different for him than it was for most people around town who he'd observed. It was interesting to hang out and watch people getting ready for it.

But now he was out for a walk, checking out people's decorations, mostly. And hey! That kid was familiar.
