"No, no, I, uh..." Sam got a little flustered and immediately felt guilty. "It's not every day you see a girl with a tail, that's all," he said. "Sorry. I guess you're new in town?"
"Impressive." Honestly, he could probably do that without trouble, but since Jake himself had never had the patience for repetitive exercises, he rather admired the determination in others.
"You know, I thought the point of Spring break was not to do anything that involved hard work."
In fact, he could almost do it with his eyes closed.
As a result, he didn't see Sam doing pushups until he was almost on top of him, skidded around in a flail of limbs, and ended up across the path in a rather undignified mess.
