Der Waffle Haus, Saturday Evening/Night

Feb 16, 2008 21:29

Nick sat alone at the counter, eating a solitary meal, by his solitary lonesome, with a solitary newspaper.

...

He really needed to get out more and make more friends.

Someone should come and keep him company.

[[OOC: Because something should happen in town today! Come bother the lonely cop! He needs friends!]]

vanessa, souji okita, nick angel, der waffle haus, medicine seller

Vanessa came in the door, then hesitated. This was very different from the pubs or taverns of her time and she was not quite sure what to do.

Nick looked over from his counter at the puzzled looking girl. He swallowed.

"Is everything alright?"

She smiled a little nervously. "I had wanted to get food, but this place is... much different from what I was used to."

"What are you used to?" Nick asked, cutting into his omelette.

There was something of a commotion near the door, the clack of what sounded like wood on tile, and a voice calling to some other unseen person. "Come on! I haven't been in here yet, and I want to see what it's like!"

Nick glanced back and looked towards the door, out of sheer reaction if nothing else.

A soft barely audible sigh sounded in response and then the two oddly dressed men came into view,. "Very well," said the more elaborately dressed of the pair, who was being dragged somewhat hesitantly into the establishment. "But I am not exactly sure why you insist on my accompanying you."

"Because coming by myself would be boring!" Souji made absolutely no motion to let go of the poor medicine seller's arm as he dragged the man into the restaurant. Spotting Nick at the counter, he stopped and waved enthusiastically. "Hi!"
