Perie's Home, Our Street [Saturday Late Afternoon, NFB]

Feb 09, 2008 13:39

Perie stood, cooing over the little Malachi in his playpen. It would be almost cute, if they weren't evil.

Jack approached the house from the back, keeping to a low crouch as he made the most of what bush and tree cover he could find.

Probably would have been better to wait till it was dark out but you made do with what you had, right?

Dean was, as usual, these days, not more than half a step behind Jack, one hand hovering in the vicinity of his gun tucked into the back of his jeans, the other held low out towards the ground, loose and ready to act when he needed to.

He hated this plan, but. Well. That actually wasn't anything new.

Sam, as often happened, was right behind Dean. He, too, had a gun close at hand and was less than pleased with this plan.

But from all the reading he had done the previous night, it seemed like Ella was telling the truth.

Well at least they all agreed that as plans went, this one was not on their collective list of favorites.

Hunkering down on his heels, Jack watched the house for a few minutes simply studying it's basic layout, windows, viable doors, general assumptions of room functionality and potential for hidden or nasty traps to be avoided.

He freaking hated fairies.

Making one last slow scan of the doors and windows, making certain he didn't detect any movement at the curtains or shadows against the frame to indicate someone was looking out towards them, he glanced back at Dean and Sam.

Motioning to them both, he pointed towards the right side of the house, indicated his eyes and then indicated himself and pointed towards the left side of the house, made a circle and pointed to what he had identified as a blind corner at the back of the house.

Translation: You two, take the right side of the house, recon the doors and windows, see if you can find where the child might be, I'll take the left, sweep back to front and I'll meet you at that ( ... )
