MILIEUX STREET FESTIVAL
To benefit the victims of the Carriage House Fire

In addition to the booths for food and shopping, there are a number of carnival games and other activities. Everything begins early in the morning and will last until sunset.

There are both PC-operated and NPC games and activities. Please wait for the characters operating their booths to tag into the threads before using them.

"Then...I guess I'd like the three throws please." There was no way she believed it was that simple, but it also wasn't like Beauty really needed a coconut. Although it would be a nice thing to win one just for the sake of winning it.

House produced the balls for Beauty.

"Let's see how much of an arm you have."

Maybe if she'd been fresh from the city, Beauty wouldn't have felt so confident about doing this. But the city girl hadn't known how to fish, or snare rabbits, or walk a plow. So Beauty nodded, bit her lip in concentration, and then winged the first ball at one of the coconuts.

It hit with a nice satisfying smack, but wasn't enough to knock the coconut off.

"You throw like a girl," House said.

"I am a girl," Beauty retorted, shooting House a look before taking a minute to line up her second throw.

This one was definitely harder than the first, but still didn't hit in the right place to win her a coconut.

"I should have expected you would pick a game that looks easy but is actually kind of frustrating," she said, with a little smile.

"You're getting to know me pretty well... or are you?" House said.

Beauty laughed a little. "Maybe not pretty well. But better," she said confidently.

She threw the last ball. And if it was a wild throw that came maybe a little closer to House than was probably comfortable...oops? Totally unintentional.

"Oh, I guess I do throw like a girl. Does that mean I don't get a coconut?"

"That's the rub," House said. "Congratulations. You've just donated to yourself."

With a smile that was full of gratitude, Beauty said, "Then I guess I win no matter what."

Hopefully before House could escape, she reached across the booth to hug him. "Thank you for doing this."

House sighed. "Please. People might... get the wrong idea."

"You're afraid people will get the sudden urge to run up and hug you if they see someone else doing it?" Beauty asked, with a little smile. She did, however, stop hugging him. "I'm sorry, I just wanted to thank you."

"I do," Beauty agreed, nodding. "I have to get back to Greatheart now, Pippi and I are giving pony rides. You should come and take one."
