At the very end of Memory Lane is an imposing white house, decked out with pennants, flowers, and lights. A pair of liveried men in white wigs are on hand at the front doors to check your invitation, but they seem to be under orders to allow everyone inside, invitation or not ( Read more... )

The front doors (which are opened for you by two men in livery) lead into the grand foyer. A good place to gawk, ogle, and talk to your fellow guests.

The Master had not technically recieved an invitation.

However, he had a piece of paper that looked like an invitation to anyone who peered closely. And if anyone didn't remember inviting him?

Well then, he'd have a little talk with them in the hall. And then, just maybe?

They'd remember that they invited the Doctor all along.

Susan might shock those who knew her by showing up wearing a couple colors that were not black. Now that she was here, however, the incognito duchess was not altogether sure that acting on her curiousity was such a good thing. The sight of the house, the decorations, the men in livery all served to remind her just how insufferably boring she usually found gatherings like this...

"Quite an interesting style of dress," the Master commented.

DINING HALL - Dinner lord_rochester August 31 2007, 16:36:53 UTC
Enjoy a full multi-course formal dinner in the dining hall. Yes, that's a whole roast suckling pig next to the roast peacock with the feathers stuck back on.

[Note: This is a sit-down meal, feel free to mod the foods. They're all delicious.]

Okay, the feathers stuck into the dead bird was, kinda creepy. It was hard to argue with the food in general though.

Mark sat down next to Conner and began the serious business of properly doing justice the first course.

BALLROOM - Dancing lord_rochester August 31 2007, 16:38:04 UTC
Somehow, Rochester has managed to get his hands on some eighteenth century music played with an electronic beat, which is playing in the ballroom. Makes for pretty good dancing, actually.

Millie giggled a bit at the strange music, but danced one of her temple dances quietly off to the side.

Pippi kinda thought the music was rather catchy and did one of the island dances the young ladies of Kurrakurradutt did in the evening during festivals.

SALON - Cards lord_rochester August 31 2007, 16:39:01 UTC
Sit down in the salon and join in, Rochester won't gloat too much when he wins all your money.

[Note: Rochester is playing Faro, but you're welcome to put together a table to play any kind of card game you like. Cheating is fine, getting caught is frowned upon.]

Dean spotted the cards in the salon right off the bat, he did. He grinned and rubbed his hands together.

"I'm shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here," he muttered, then grabbed a seat to see who he could hustle some cash from.

"Somehow I'm not surprise," Nick said from behind Dean.

Step outside into the garden courtyard for a little solitude, or a quiet tete-a-tete.

Connor decided to duck outside to do a bit of lurking and brooding.

Integral stood outside smoking a cigarillo trying to absorb what she had been told about the time frame earlier. It still sounded like utter nonsense to her.

Probably yet another anachronism was not what Integral needed but there was Susan ducking out of the house for some fresh air. Noticing the young woman, she gave a slight nod of her head.
