House was looking really worn down now. The staff were useless to bounce diagnoses off of, the idiot in exam room one was no fun at all, and... he was rather afraid he'd have to call in Cameron. That was not a prospect he enjoyed at all.

More than slightly panicky, too, which was probably not helping his chances of recovery.

If he'd noticed that he might be recovering a little faster than he really should, well . . . the panic knocked that right back out of him.
