Cuddy was at the clinic expecting it to be another quiet day.

That was probably the wrong assumption.

After a handwavy call from House, Tosh closed up shop and showed up at the medical center, ready to lend whatever help she could.

"Excuse me," she said to the woman at the desk. "Are you Dr. Cuddy? Dr. House said you might need some assistance today."

"Of course he did," Cuddy said, shaking her head a little. She wasn't at all surprised House would find ways to avoid clinic duty. "It's been quiet here so far, but I wouldn't mind the assistance."

"I figured the sounds of shooting, and the fact that there are apparently a couple of people running around doing...something a little crazy-seeming, probably is what put it in his head," Tosh remarked, with a smile and a shrug. "Although I have to admit that he didn't mention I'd be here instead of him."

She held out her hand. "Toshiko Sato."

After getting a yet to be played call Pippi picked up the item and made a b-line for the clinic.

She didn't appear hurt but she was obviously very tired and a little disheveled.

"I need something analyzed."

Cuddy glanced at the girl curiously. "Are you hurt?"

"Not me no..." Pippi said rubbing her face. "You see... It's complecated. I just want to give you a sample of whatever's in this, and then I need to go. I want you to find out what it is and then call me on my cel phone to let me know if you think it's safe."

She held in her hand a small case, the type that usually carry hypodermic needles and vials of whatever is to be injected with them.

Cole carried Phoebe into the exam room and set her gently on the bed. He left only to move Piper to the other room and see that she was being tended to, then hurried back to Phoebe's side, hovering anxiously.
