completely locked down

This journal was already half flocked, but I've now used the mass security tool to lock down all public entries. I've decided to leave a few recommendation pages up, however, and will probably eventually skim back through the journal and unlock a few other things ( Read more... )

I'm upset beyond words. This is the person who once rooted through the garbage to find a crumpled rough draft of fanfic I'd buried so that they wouldn't find.

Yeah, that's the thing. I keep my RL and my online life completely separate, not least of all because mixing the two would cause way too many problems. And it *is* no fun having a parent hover.

As a person who actually fled my first LJ (years ago) because my mom found it, I feel your pain. Gah.

I'm so damned entrenched with this one though that I don't think I have any options :(

I hear that; I don't think I could do the same thing now. At the time, though, I wasn't very far into LJ fandom yet, and had only had the journal for a year.

Gah! I've had a few close calls myself. Anything remotely personal gets flocked, and I know of at least 1 RL person who has friended me. I didn't friend them back...

Oi... family finding journal is about 10x worse than having a troll. o,o

Which is why I am glad my mother never updates her LJ or even comes to my LJ as far as I know... then again, she's a MySpace whore and acts like she's 18 years old so... yeah...

BUT... sorry about family breaking into your LJ. :: pets ::

LoL, seriously, I'd rather be trolled any day. I'd rather having a freaking mole on my flist. At least those things are fixable and less upsetting all around.
