Young Severus Snarry fanfics

Jan 06, 2008 17:44

Harry meeting and falling in love with young Snape has always been one of my favorite kinks - this idea has been featured in quite a few time-travel fics but, much to my disappointment, also quite frequently abused. I don't know why it is so hard to find a good Young!Severus/Harry fic - maybe because this idea calls for too many clichés, or maybe ( Read more... )

I agree, NEVER enough Snarry lists! :D

Hmmm... are you interested in Deage-Fics? If so Seeker's 'Unexpected Series' is depraved *excellent*. Harry only really notices Snape after the deaging.

Hope this fits! (and if not just enjoy ;) )

Ha, thank you! It was an errm-interesting read, even though I must admit I couldn't make myself to go through all the threesomes, too much of a squick to me;-) But - a very good reference for the list:-)

I will do my best to keep the list up to date:-)

Reviews - tricky things they are. I can't even count how many times I have actually thought of deleting them: I am of an opinion that fandom should do anything to encourage further writing. But does it mean that I can't have an opinion of my own and share it with others on my LJ? But what if reading it hurts the author and actually discourages her/him? But what if I phrase it carefully and stress the fact that it is my opinion only? Is it enough? Or maybe thematic lists - bound to reference all sort of fanfics - should aim to be perfectly neutral and giving "stars" is enough?

Many questions I can't really answer. painless_j probably knows all about it:-)

PS. Hilarious icon BTW:-)

i think you handled it really well, actually. i maintain a few master lists + recs, and with one of them i tried to also do reviews (meaning, i say something about each of the fics i've read, even if i'm not exactly reccing it), and that was the hardest thing to do. because honestly, the point isn't to discourage people, or to say anything definitive, it's all just an opinion. i think that came across really well in your list.
ps- hilarious? c'mon, sullen!richie's perfect for the role.

Excellent list. Harry/Young Snape is my absolute all time kink as well. Actually, I fell into the fandom after reading The Return of the Prodigal by Lachesis. Like you said, odd that there weren't more written. I'm friending you, btw~~~

If you haven't already, you should also check out The Swing by Svartalfur that explore the possibility of Snape growing up with a true friend (Harry). The Snape there is simply adorable.

Thank you so much for this rec, it was a wonderful read and one of the most intriguing takes at the situation.

What a pleasure:-)

What about DETaH by Lee Lee Potter? http://www.hpfandom.net/eff/viewstory.php?sid=564 There is young Severus in first 15 or so chapters.
And this one - http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2760313/1/One_Stupid_Person - One Stupid Person by quixotic-hope. Silly little fic with our most favorite Potion Master as 17 years old. Not very bright or well written, but stil...

Thank you! I must have read DETaH but I don't seem to remember it at all, so it's a very good occasion to re-read it:-) Thanks again.
