Harry meeting and falling in love with young Snape has always been one of my favorite kinks - this idea has been featured in quite a few time-travel fics but, much to my disappointment, also quite frequently abused. I don't know why it is so hard to find a good Young!Severus/Harry fic - maybe because this idea calls for too many clichés, or maybe because it attracts less experienced writers - hard to say.
I have started compiling a list of Snarry fics involving Harry and young Severus in love (so I am not interested in every fic involving young Severus, in flashbacks or otherwise, no matter how good it is - BTW, go and read
Two Lockets by Acid and Sinick if you haven't already). I will welcome all the suggestions:-)
### - fics that I find particularly worth reading
# - liked, but no fireworks
Please note: the impressions I share reflect my tastes only - if I didn't like the fic, it doesn't mean that it won't become your favorite piece of all times, right?:-)
- Escaping the Paradox by Meri.

After Harry is thrown back in time to 1971, he has several choices to make.
Wonderful read and very good character portrayal. I find this development of young Snape very convincing in the changed timeline. It is good to see how the typical Snarry dynamics is reversed here and yet it rings the same bell somehow. Endearing. - Cockroach Clusters, Please by Ziasudra.
#
Harry needs to learn how to construct new spells, he turns to the Half-Blood Prince for assistance; they meet in the Room of Requirement.
I like the young Severus' portrayal but there's quite a lot of clichés. - Just Another Soldier in the War by Ziasudra.
#
Harry goes back in time, takes the name of Charlus Potter and joins a DE squad. His relationship with twenty-something Snape develops, with all the expected ups and downs.
Lots of action but the main characters seem to be a bit underdeveloped. - Between the Lines by Dementor Delta.
###
Harry corresponds with the Half-Blood Prince through his book, romance ensues. Very good, young Snape heart-broken after cease-correspondence and adult Snape learning to accept the turn of events and cooperate.
One word: perfect. Both in emotional intensity and characters' portrayal. - The Return of the Prodigal by Lachesis.
#
A portkey goes wrong and Harry goes back in time to Marauders' era. He goes under a name of one Harold James and is sorted in Slytherin. - A Nick in Time, by Tira Nog.
###
Harry and Snape are turned into 7-year-olds and learn to like each other.
Very good. Continued in Growing Pains, but this one gets a bit too hurt/comfort for my tastes. - Tread Softly by Dius Corvus.
###
Harry kills Voldemort and is thrown back in time to Marauders' time. He is known under the name of one Jonathan Frost and becomes friends with Severus Snape.
Continued in Ashes of Time, WIP. I like this fic, it's probably the best one in the series of Harry thrown back in time. - The Living Years by Dementor Delta.
###
Severus Snape makes the ultimate sacrifice for Harry Potter. No, not that sacrifice! The other one! And finds Sanctuary in the most unexpected of places. Severus growing up while Harry grows older.
I didn't enjoy it as much as other Dementor Delta's fics - probably because the pairing of older Harry and much younger Snape isn't really my thing - but it's still a must-read. - Tapestry of Fate by the-minx-17.
Harry goes back in time to change Snape's fate and to give him a fair shake at a happier, more fulfilling life. - Indebted by Elanora.
#
A trip in time reveals Harry to be unknowingly involved in Snape's past, and inextricably linked to his future.
Very short appearance of young Severus, but all in all worth reading. - Hogwarts takes care of its own by leela-cat.
#
Post-DH. Snape is dying at St. Mungo's. Harry goes back in time.
A nice read. - Unexpected by Seeker.
#
An age-reversal spell goes awry in battle, leading to unexpected consequences. PWP.
De-aged Snape, Harry and lots of sex - overall hot, but one can't help a few "Err, I don't think it should be working this way" and "Ack! This really is a bit much for me". So be warned;-) - A Time to Change by Sansa.
Harry wishes he had had different life and enters alternate reality in which Neville is the Boy Who Lived. He develops a relationship with adult Snape but still needs to go back in time to find the way to win the future war.
I appreciate how complicated the whole concept of time is but the description of most of the characters qualifies as something I rather abhor (starting with "Siri" and "Sev"). - The Paradox of Existence by DragonLight.
###
Adult Harry goes back in time to the Marauders' era to teach DADA, taking the name of Octavian Tyler.
This is truly a magnificent fic. Very long and pretty much flawless. The portrayal of characters is perfect - I've given up on this fic many times because of the way young Severus is depicted in the first two chapters but this piece is not about young Severus at all and it is the tension between the young and the adult Snape that is the main highlight here. And there are many: the way Draco's and Harry's friendship is depicted makes me want to do something I have long deemed unthinkable - read a Harry/Draco fic:-) Harry is very believable and it's such an adventure to watch him when he is a teenager taking his first step in relationship and an adult doing his best to sustain it. The concept of time is nothing less than interesting. So. Yeah. Go and read it NOW:-) - The Swing by Svartalfur.

Severus is waiting for his friend to return to the playground, Harry wants to find out everything about Lily, and the Healers at St. Mungo's are at a loss to explain Snape's condition.
A very interesting take at young!Severus/Harry relationship WITHOUT time-travel. Well written, characters are well developed and believable. I really enjoyed it. - All in Good Time by Alisanne.
Prompt: How about a time travel romance, with young Snape accidentally coming forward to the future, and Adult Harry having to take charge of him until they sort out what made it all happen.
I liked the young Severus, even though I find the plot and time-travel explanations quite far-fetched and simplified. Still, a nice read. - Tempus Reversit by ms_katonic.
When a magical accident in the heat of battle sends Harry and Snape back to 1943, it's a golden opportunity for a fresh start. But destiny is not so easy to escape, especially when Tom Riddle starts taking an interest...
- Aude Sapere by Tiger of the Fire
Harry Potter, the boy-who-defeated-Voldemort, has been in Azkaban for the last ten years for using an Unforgivable. Now he has managed to escape, yet will he ever be the same? Or will too many things happen to him? But what if something happens to make people think he's escaped, when in reality he didn't do it on purpose?
So, Harry finds himself in the 70-ties at Hogwarts. Absolutely not my style of writing so I wasn't able to read through it. Good luck to you, though;-)
- The Young and the Hopeless by moraco
Severus Snape goes forward to the future, meets Harry and is placed in Gryffindor as Simon Edwards.
I'm starting to have difficulties writing neutral things about fics that fall into the category of this list but which I find so much not to my tastes;-) So, sorry - couldn't get further than the third chapter with this one.
- One Stupid Person by quixotic-hope
Having lost his value as a spy for the light, Severus must now take a de-aging potion and befriend the dratted Boy-Who-Lived. But what happens when he starts falling in love?
Alright. So Snape takes de-aging potion and befriends Harry under the name of, o! originality of originalities!, Alan Rickman!;-) I have no words, really.
- Playing with Existence by daughter_moon
It is the summer after 5th year and Harry Potter is staying at Grimmauld Place. With too much time to think about the past events, he comes up with a plan. A plan involving timeturners, school-age parents and a weakened Dark Lord. But playing with existence can have serious consequences.
All in all, an OK read. I don't like Character Death, though.
- Death Eater Takes a Holiday by Lee Lee Potter
Albus spells a few Order members back to their seventh year age, and sends them to spend time at Hogwarts for a holiday. The Headmaster's intent is for them to learn that Harry is indeed mature for his age, so that he will be accepted as a full member. What will happen when Severus returns from his time as a teen, to find he has spent the better part of the week entwined with a certain Gryffindor? And, how do their lives change afterwards?
Read first few chapters but the story is just so... teenage, I guess. I didn't like the characters, I didn't like "talk, dark and sexy" and love at the first sight.
- Back to the Future by Jade and Sandy
Harry is longing for Severus but finds the other man unwilling to lose his reservations. He goes back in time to change Severus' attitude.
Nice read, pretty much on the PWP side but still enjoyable. - I'm Already Gone by redfox13
Harry is James' younger brother. All is very teenage.
Haven't read past chapter 3. - Only to Rise Higher by swtalmnd
Snape's life as a student takes a turn he hadn't expected when the Boy Who Lived comes to Hogwarts in Snape's fourth year.
The summary is not accurate as it is more as if Snape came to Harry's times as a teenager. Quite sweet. Nice read.
Please give me more:-)
