[Fic] Kink Bingo - Smacking/Slapping - Sanada/Kirihara

Jul 06, 2010 09:03

I triple-checked the rules, and G-rated stories are allowed. This isn't terribly erotic in and of itself, but someone could easily eroticise it if this is a kink they enjoy, so it counts. Never thought I'd write a non NC-17 kink bingo fic, but there are a couple of squares in my card this year that may end up this way ( Read more... )

character: sanada genichirou, character: kirihara akaya, fandom: kink bingo, fandom: prince of tennis

Damn. If I ever wanted a sequel, it's to this bit of deliciousness.

I really, really like this one. I think it could turn into a very interesting look at the needs of some people and how they might contradict with the expectations of the people around you. It could also turn very erotic if Kirihara explored it more. *smile* Regardless, I really felt drawn into this one.

Now, this is probably an odd post to ask these questions, but: how are you doing lately (in RL)? Still in theatre? Or have you moved on to something different? Where has life taken you in the past year or so?

It's also cool to see you writing in Prince of Tennis again. As a matter of curiosity for me (just because I'm like that, if this is too nosy you don't have to answer at all): which fandoms have you fallen out of love with in the past few years? I remember you had a lot of 2006-2007 fiction from PoT (and also Final Fantasy); do you still love it just as much? A comfortable, loved friend to return to when writing? What are your newest fandoms that you just can't wait to write in?

I'm still in theatre, edging my way slowly into film. I recently finished a five-week stint working for Alberta Ballet on Love Lies Bleeding, the new ballet based on the life and music of Elton John. That was fun, hee.

I don't really have any new fandoms eating my brain. Soul Eater grabbed me briefly, but mostly I've been slogging away at a FFVII/FFX fusion and the kink bingo stuff. Theoretically I'm supposed to be concentrating more on original work.

I still love PoT, I just feel like I've said pretty much everything I needed to say. There's still the occasional short idea like this one that pops out, but I probably won't do anything major for it again.

That's awesome! I'm so glad you're having so much fun with your career, it's wonderful to hear an update like that. ^______^ And... this is probably a bigger question than I realize, but: what are the main differences between working in theatre and working in film? Or is your job basically the same either way?

It's interesting to see how you've moved on writing wise. I do like your original fiction (although the only ones I've read are your SSBB stories). You have a very nice writing 'voice' that just flows. And I have to say that I preferred to read doujinshi for PoT, but you got me hooked on the written Ohtori/Shishido pairing. But on the other hand, I don't go out to find more of it, I just like the stuff you wrote. *laugh* I know, I'm confusing.

Sorry, I ramble on like that sometimes. ^____^

The main differences between theatre and file, at least in terms of costuming, is how often things are worn/how much damage they take, and how close you're going to see them. In theatre, nobody will ever see things up close, so you can get away with a lot of things that look hideously ugly up close but fabulously awesome from a distance. Also there might be quick changes - I've seen people have to do a total costume change in less than thirty seconds. So you build with a lot of velcro, hooks & eyes, etc. Generally they take very little damage from stage action, though they can be quite brutally worn by wear and tear. The costumes are always worn in the same order every night ( ... )
