My eyes! THEY BURN!

Dec 14, 2014 21:24

So, last week at work was pretty rough. I was catching up on things, and a bunch of new matters came in... so I was setting my alarm for 1:30am somedays. I was usually at my desk by 3:15am or 3:30am, and heading home after 6pm.  I was tired.  That week is over, thank goodness ( Read more... )

How long until your eye is fully healed?

I will just have to see. 3-6 months is how long they say before the eyes fully resolve at whatever new level of vision I will have.

My right eye is doing really well (LASIK eye). The left PKT eye was pretty unusable this morning but doing better this evening. Left eye was always my 'worst' eye but apparently it has healed so fast I didn't need an eye shield. I've had no problems with irritation, itchy eye, dryness or feelings of pain or grit in my eyeballs. Which is apparently more and more common with LASIK, but very uncommon with PKT. YAY ME. :)

I'm glad you're healing quickly! I don't know Mike, but recognized Jake right away. it looks like they offered you chocolate for ramen! :) Your friend Bilas can really get off the ground!

Bilas is quite a tall guy!

Jake and Mike were funny; when I woke up at 4am I txt'd them and they were on the way back to my place. "you will make us ramen, right?" they asked.

"You want the LASIK blind guy to make you ramen. HA!"

"Oh."

Instead we nuked left over pizza from dinner. lol.

Congrats on the successful eye work! Just had eye surgery myself a week and a half ago and know the drill. My work was a bit different, had a much longer eye closed period (5 days not a few hours) but all's doing well, my vision is much improved. Most interesting result - my prescription eyeglasses (with a prescription less than a year old) no longer give me best vision. Who'da thunk it!

Keep healing, keep smiling!

It sounds like your eye surgery was a bit more serious than mine! Now that your cloudiness is gone, is the 'fun house' distortion effect going to go away over time?
