Wow, am I unimpressed with the mods in RPGnet. I was reading a post about how Christians can't play D&D. Yeah. But it was going along in a largely unflamey way, except for a minor controversy about a nickname for Jehovah's Witnesses. One mod warning earlier, but okay.

The mod comes along and declares that discussion over. Which would be fine,

I know I already said this this morning, but this is abuse of power, pure and simple. Or at the very least, hypocritical as fuck.

I dunno. I think that it's kind of a moderator's job to be a judgmental assholes in a room full of judgmental assholes. I don't think it's an 'abuse of power', either. If the kids can't get along, you just have to send them to their rooms, and if folks on the Forums (which I can't see because I can't seem to actually connect to rpg.net today at all) are acting like kids, then the mods have to treat them like kids.

I don't understand why you'd post comments and then quit, though. I mean, why not post your opinions and then stick around to back them up?

It's not the sending the kids to their rooms I object to. It's calling them "worthless little assholes" while doing it. And I don't really consider it an abuse of power, at least not a major one. But I am not 10 years old, and I do NOT like it when people can act like a dick and are immune even from someone saying "Hey, you're acting like a dick
