I found my semi-broken SD card reader, and it is indeed broken. So, since I'm down to one working SD card reader, which I cannot locate, I think I'll be buying a new one this afternoon. Because a backup is never a bad idea, especially if you're a Michelle ( Read more... )

I'll give you the words of an old-timer here:

Do not transplant until Mother's Day in our area. As unpredictable as the snow keeps returning, they aren't out of danger of frost until then. Unless, of course they are frost-hardy plants.

I've lost quite a few plants by not heeding that advice.

I was feeling all behind because my co-workers had already put stuff outside, but then it's all cold and their plants are dead and dying or eaten my squirels....but I still want to transplant before my black thumb kicks in.
Most of my plants are still tiny though, except for the peas.....they've got to about 6 inches...

Maybe I can just get the soil tilled and fertilized and de-weeded this weekend....since I have to do that first anyhow!

You's welcome! Yep, you can do lotsa prep work during this uncertain weather, but save da babies til there's no chance of frost anymore. Just keep them somewhere they can be warm and moist and have some sunlight each day. And keep da kitties away :)
