[The screen comes on, and the first thing that is seen is Xerxes, who flips away from the camera and floats somewhere above -- his tail is still hanging in view, and a lithe cat alights the desk and sits down.]

[Paddy opens Mozenrath's door, on Shego's instruction.] Right, I'm letting you out. You... have a grand fucking time out here.

[Paddy looked down at Mozenrath, and, taking it as a sign of affection, he reached down and ran his hand along the cat's back,] It's a good job I ain't cooking, wizard boy, or you'd be out of here.

[Success in two areas. He hasn't been kicked, and the odor he had been picking up on the air is very easily covered by an aroma more distinctly his. He chirps and follows Paddy's hand -- he's not going to deny to himself that this also feels good, mind, but it's also quietly reassuring that he could say and mean "You're my property now, kitchen slave" and the man will only hear random happy cat noises and reward that behavior. No wonder these animals got away with being treated like gods.]

I never fucking liked cats, y'know. [He shrugs and idly gives him another stroke along his side,] I never liked you either. So fuck knows where this came from, mate, but you're less annoying than all the crazy animals out there right now. [Hell knew why he was talking to the cat like Mozenrath cared, or was even listening.]

Just wait till he brings you a dead animal and expects you to eat it, Paddy :|

[Again cross-eyed. Mozenrath's spine curls exceptionally high into his touch -- something about this breed and its thin build is that when they're happy they're literally nothing but curves. And since this was going so well he finished marking the man's hand. "The feeling's mutual, but you're sufficient protection for the time being." Which of course wouldn't be understood, but so long as Paddy was talking to him like he was still a person he'd still talk back.]

paddy will quietly feed it to a snake.

[Paddy looked down at Mozenrath, still a little puzzled,] You know. You're easier to talk to when you're a cat. Go figure. [Probably had something to do with the fact he had no idea what Mozenrath was saying back, but he was pretty comfortable with it right now.]

Your snake doesn't need to learn how to hunt. You do :|

Yes, well -- If everything I said and did were construed to be cute I imagine I would have taken over the world by now, given your reactions. [And with a bracing wiggle of his hindquarters he alights to the top of the counter again, with characteristic feline obstinacy, and patiently sits.]

[Paddy then frowns, as he wasn't going to take that, and picks Mozenrath up and puts him back on the floor,] Off my fucking sides. If you're gonna do that, you can get back outside.

[And he complains the entire way down.] I'm not going to get into anything; I'm not really a cat! [But there he is, on the floor again.]

[Paddy has no idea what he's saying,] Sorry, but I don't want fucking hair on my sides. I just fucking cleaned them. [And would have to do so again.]

Are you -- [Mozenrath looks around really quick to check, and then, with all the indignance he can muster] -- I am not shedding!

[Paddy just stared at him and raised an eyebrow. He liked his kitchen super-clean and neat and was having no animals anywhere near it if he could help it. Even now, he'd have to clean up again.]

If he were less afraid of getting kicked he'd find a place in there to use the bathroom right now :|

[Mozenrath sighs impatiently out of his nose and after a moment of petulant staring finally gives up on him and begins to explore. One other interesting thing about being this size is how different everything looks, and there are a lot of interesting smells in a kitchen.]
