I must be psychic

I knew it! The day after I install Ubuntu's latest beta, a new version is released. Oh well, it still works damn well. Just gotta download some updates. Its pretty fuckin' fresh, if not a bit too orange (I actually liked the brown theme), although I must admit that the icons are nice. COME BACK TO GENTOOOO. YOU KNOW YOU WANT TOOOOOO.

I think I'm gonna try Kubuntu sometime soon. I'm a little sick of waiting for packages to compile. Do you know if Kubuntu has the same package manager as Ubuntu, 'cause I kinda like it.

Gentoo is nice, because of the up-to-dateness, but one of the things that always bugged me is that it lacked polish. Considering how I can't game anymore (crappy video card), the preformance boost wasn't worth it.

And a KDE user? I thought you were better than that :-p. Kubuntu apparently uses Adept. I would seriously recommend checking out the LiveCDs, they're damn fast for CDs (or at least the AMD64 version is).

Gentoo just seems to be headed for people who don't care about usability. Shit breaks on every upgrade and you gotta scour the internets to figure out what happened. I hate that.

KDE ftw! I like all functions available quickly, so Gnome never really worked for me. I don't care about minimalization. I do like the international input methods, though. I'd kill for that cyrillic layout.

Adept looks pretty. It's all deb's, right?

How are the livecd's different from knoppix and the like?
