I knew it! The day after I install Ubuntu's latest beta, a new version is released. Oh well, it still works damn well. Just gotta download some updates. Its pretty fuckin' fresh, if not a bit too orange (I actually liked the brown theme), although I must admit that the icons are nice. This is a pretty nice release, and I think it was a good decision to delay the release for six weeks for bug fixes (a six week delay compared to a three year delay isn't too bad). I'll post some screen shots later. My only two complaints is that while gstreamer is much better now, it still chokes on some avi and mov files. Real media support would be nice, but I'd rather have a few solid features as opposed to an array of buggy ones. My other complaint is that Ubuntu is still shipping Gaim 1.5.1cvs, and not the 2.0.0 pre-releases. I understand somewhat, but I hope that when 2.0.0 is released, it gets deb'ed up and sent to the repos.
