Ow. And, well, yes. It was all description! There was no dialogue and I was worried it was going to fall flat since it was just "he did this and then she did that" over and over. *ducks*

Guh! That's just perfect! I love this post-ep.

It was slower but somehow deeper than the other kisses had been, with a hunger and an intent that hadn't been there before.

I don't know which line to single out because all of them create such a perfect flow. And this is beautiful, the whole story. I love the fact that she started everything in the first place and I love the quiet nature of it. You did a great job with an ep that was "done" so many times. *hearts the fic*

Thank you!!! It was tough trying to figure out something sufficiently different for this episode, which has so much fodder for "wild, desperate" smut.

I know the feeling. I had the same problem with one I wrote. It ended like post - smut fic because I wasn't satisfied with how it turned out (it was for BIS.) I'm sticking to silly smut right now... my head simply can't do sad, desperate or angsty smut at the moment.

This is fabulous!

She swallowed, caught on the precipice for a moment, but she remembered how his skin tasted, and she wondered if his mouth would taste of the rain too.

I love the description of John tasting like rain. It's beautiful on its own, but also reminds me of a song by my favorite band ("You Look Like Rain" by Morphine), which makes me extra happy.

Having them remain silent through practically all of it struck just the right tone. Everything's still so raw and they're just not ready to talk yet. They're still thawing out from the numb chill and need to be able to feel, first. Loved it!

Yes, this is definitely a post-traumatic influenced moment where Elizabeth just can't talk and John can't keep up his usual mask. *nods firmly*
