The sex was hot, but Elizabeth practically climbs into his lap and John just holds her... yeah. That's there in their relationship in the way they look at each other and how they might be if/when they're just too tired to do that whole denial thing they're so good at.
And uncertain!John is just yummy.

*g*
I had that idea way back in S1, but then I kind of went a different direction with the "Post-The Eye Quadrilogy" and never got back to it. Then of course I had to figure out how PTSD shaking transitioned to sex.
And uncertain!John is just yummy
He's totally freaked out here. But, hey, sex! Not gonna say no.

She certainly hadn't imagined him saying it like this.
Lies. She totally had! *g*
I love the tone of this. It's so quiet I could practically hear the rain falling. =)
Poor worried John. Cuddling makes it better. Just shut up and hold her.

Yep. In my head they both fall asleep, Elizabeth leaning on his shoulder and John's head back against the wall, his chin resting on Elizabeth's hair. :)

Every once in a while, I had to stop and re-read something... to savour it...
Plain beautiful. Possibly the best J/E first-time I ever read... bonus for me, happening just after my fav episode...
my favourite parts are: 1.the whole passage before they kiss...very sensual…. 2. the fact that they don't really have sex and the way they are tentative around each other. Also, I find the way you make Elizabeth take the initiative and John accepting it, in a kind of eager way, both spot on character and timeline, as well as amazingly intriguing.
uhm... how about a sequel with them dealing to file this just as a post-traumatic thing and having to deal with it, further on the 2 or 3 season?
or.. how about a sequel anyway?
thanks!

Woah.
wow. Wait this was the one you were worried over? O.o *flails*
ok, I loved Elizabeth's freaked out reaction to the events of the ep. So very real. And I love protective John who's completely worried and a little awkward and unsure and not the best at talking. I love how they just stop talking because they don't need to.
For some reason I also really like that Elizabeth was the instigator, ;).
This was excellent. :D
