sorry to ask another question so soon! but do CNMs have time to have a life, and spend time with their families and friends? I have heard that being on call is stressful on family life especially when raising children, and this worries me as I have always wanted to have time to spend with family and friends.

I know this is a stretch but in the United States can a person with an MD who isn't an OBGYN attend home births? I was playing on wikipedia and it said that a general practice doctor sometimes attends home births but sometimes I doubt wiki's real life applications and interpretations of the laws.

Hi! I would like to semi-introduce myself.  I am a student midwife enrolled in a course to be a DEM/CPM and dont currently have an apprentiship lined up. I'm sure this gets asked a lot but I have yet to find answer to this particular question. I'm in nursing school and I want to be a midwife. I know that a lot of states have issues with CPMs, but would a CPM with an RN be looked at differently or still seen as not a CNM?
