I really could use a brain in a jar

1. So. I'm writing a MWPP/Narnia crossover. Yes, I know I still have a Snarry fic that I promised to write. But this Narnia thing is eating my brain, and in my head, it's multi part and fucking epic, and it's scaring me. Why? I do not do epics. I wrote an eleven chapter fic in my Trixie fandom that took me @ two years to finish. I still ( Read more... )

mwpp, hp, doctor who, lj woes, spacey goodness, fanfic, loveless

Once you finnish Doctor Who, read every related fic that shaggydogstail wrote. That's an order.

Yes ma'am!

*hee* I have them bookmarked! I purposely scrolled on by because I didn't want to be spoiled. :-P

Today is the day where I am contemplating Padfoot and Prongs, a flight of stairs and a black lamp post.

Oh, my god. You must write this!! I have no idea what your plot bunny is, but can somehow Remus be involved? *nudge nudge wink wink* I mean, I can totally picture Padfoot and Prongs discovering the lamp post and then flying to the dormitory to tell Remus, who is all skeptical until he goes with them... *is excited* oh, no matter how you write this, I am ecstatic that you've had this brilliant brain-wave; I will be eagerly waiting to read and review!! :)

I'm writing it! *hee* And this is why I have used the term "epic" to describe my idea, because Remus (and Peter) will go to Narnia, but not just yet. Sirius and James go first (kind of like Lucy and Edmund went before Peter and Susan. :-P)

I've got to read through the Narnia books again because I need a timeline for Narnia so I know when P&P (and later MWPP) show up, and what's going on over there. So I can write their adventures of course. :-P (I want them to show up soon after the Pevensies have left, maybe after their stag hunt. So I really need to read The Last Battle as I haven't read it since I was about, oh, 12!)

History Boys is most excellent and you need to see it. I preferred the actual play to the film but if you haven't seen the play, the film is most most excellent. So watch it already, damn it.

I am shocked and stunned that you haven't watched the last few episodes of DW yet. Honestly, woman. Shocked and stunned. Esp. because John Simm is toe-curlingly hot and evil and slashy.

LJ notifications are completely phucked again. I get them in waves. I guess LJ's had too much diet Pepsi Max and it's just messed up.

I finally watched History Boys! I really loved it, but I was a little cranky at the scene in class when they're all speaking French - I put the subtitles on (in English! I checked three times!), and all I got was the French transliteration. *headdesk* If I can't understand what they're saying when they SPEAK it, READING it in French, isn't going to help me! :-P

*hangs head* I know! I have Blink, and then the last three to go. I will get to it soon, but probably not this week. :( And then one of these days, I need to get a hold of Life On Mars. I saw the "pilot" episode last year on my way home from Lumos on the plane (which had BBCA) and I loved it. Alas, I was declined for that comm, because apparently my posting mp3s on occasion is offensive to them. Bugger that! They and their rules can bite me!

I know enough French to figure out most of it. It's all about going to a prostitute and what nice tits she has and that he needs to take off his trousers and -- ugh, I really need to be watching it so I can write a translation. *wonders if it might be found on the Internets, goes to find it and fails spectacularly*

Tsk tsk tsk. I am so disappointed in you. I hope you find John Simm as utterly droolworthy as I do Just cos I need reassurance. (As if...) I have all of LoM on cd-r but that's all mpegs. I had to delete all the avi files cos I'd run out of room on my hdd and for some bizarre reason, trying to back up on dvd kept failing. Lemme see if I can do something with them. Otherwise, I can lend you my copies -- unfortunately 2 of them (I think the 2nd and 3rd episode of S1) are out of sync -- sometimes avis are screwy and do stupid things like that when they are transferred to .mpgs for burning. OR we could actually get together and watch them since I'm always up for seeing them again. And I think you'd like the show.

Of course he's totally droolworthy! :-P And have you read shaggydogstail's Doctor/Master sort-of-crack fics? I haven't read them yet because I don't want to be unduly spoiled, but everyone has told me that I absolutely must read them. :-P And she's writing more, too!

And yes, we do need to get together - this once or twice a year crap is just not on! :-P

I could get the gist of the boys acting it out, but I really wanted to know what they said to the Headmaster and whatsisface (young teacher) when they came in and interrupted! :-P

The last three episodes are full of more flail, squee, and head-desking than any episode I've ever seen.

Although, if you don't come out admiring Martha, I'll be extremely shocked.

I already adore Martha! I'm so excited that she's going to be on Torchwood for a few episodes! Yay!!

I do not do epics.

Well, apparently you do now! :P

Gah, I don't know how anyone can write something over 2000 words (though I've managed it a couple of times). My head starts to hurt when I reach 1000. But I hope you do write this HP/Narnia epic because I'd love to read it.

And yay! You're gonna write me Loveless. :D *happy sigh* There have been so few good Loveless fics lately, it's depressing. I've been rereading a lot of older favorite fics in the meantime.

I still have Kio-fic to finish writing though (and for you to beta), if I ever figure out one particular scene.

Hahahaha! And I can't say nearly enough in under, oh, 5000 words! :-P Well, usually.

Hahaha - you'd love to read it? Wait till I start sending you emails about betaing it!! (Like now - I want someone to read the bit that I wrote and tell me if it's working so far - no actual Narnia yet - they just got up the stairs and thwapped in the face with branches, but you know how ridiculously wibbly I get with things. This time I'm worried about POV and pacing! So I may send it to you later for a quick scan! :-P)

I will get around to Loveless eventually! I promise! And yes - when you finish, I will beta!

I would be happy to read it over! I'll have time after six o'clock this evening if you want to send it over. If it's not quite ready I'll also have the weekend if that works better for you.
