I really could use a brain in a jar
1. So. I'm writing a MWPP/Narnia crossover. Yes, I know I still have a Snarry fic that I promised to write. But this Narnia thing is eating my brain, and in my head, it's multi part and fucking epic, and it's scaring me. Why? I do not do epics. I wrote an eleven chapter fic in my Trixie fandom that took me @ two years to finish. I still have a second WiP over there that I really do want to finish one day, but today is not that day. Today is the day where I am contemplating Padfoot and Prongs, a flight of stairs and a black lamp post. Eating my brain, I tell you! And I have to re-read the Narnia books (or at least skim!) because I've already started confusing things between those books, it's been so long since I've read them all, and I've had to tweak my epic long term plot a couple of times already.
Either way, I'm going to try to write the first part this weekend and post that soonish, because it will be able to stand alone as a one-shot. Until I write the rest at any rate, and with my track record, I won't inflict a WiP on yet another fandom. :-P
2. I also have a Loveless ficlet that I need to write for inksheddings Have a nice little bunny, but said bunny is presently being slowly consumed and digested by a giant...thing. [see number 1]
3. I signed up for merry_smutmas! Yay! My sign up comment was ridiculously long, but no harm in being thorough.
4. I have the History Boys DVD which has been sitting here since before Prophecy. It's actually been IN my DVD player for two days, but I haven't watched it yet. And I want to watch it - I've been dying to see it ever since the l00bs went to see it without me (bitches!) :-P (Okay, I was sick...) But there's this fic that is eating my brain...
5. I still have four episodes of Doctor Who that I haven't watched. I am at serious risk of having my fan(dom) club membership card revoked due to the serious amount of fail inherent in this travesty. Particularly since three of those four episodes include Captain Jack Harkness!!!1!1!!, and I've been dying to see him back with the Doctor since 2005, and there is John Simm!!! and have been told that there is BDSM phone sex involved. But there's this movie I have which is slowly accumulating late fees, and a fic that is eating my brain...
6. There's a total lunar eclipse that will be visible through most of North America on Tuesday, August 28th. Except it's at before/during dawn. Of course I'm dorky enough to go out and watch it. If it's not cloudy. I have 10 days to decide if I'm going to stay up all night or get up early.
7. Why is LJ picking and choosing which comment notifications it wants to send me? I have comments to reply to and will attempt to do so this weekend.
8. I can't remember what else I wanted to say. Alas, I'm a bit distracted.
