I thought about getting an art table at the local Otafest (http://www.otafest.com) but they apparently posted up registration on the 4th and I just saw it this morning (the 6th). I liked the "not Anime-North in Toronto quality" bit, heheh. :)

But I see what you mean. Looking through their forum, most of the work is very amateur. And some of the outrageous claims this one person was making with nothing to back it up just spewed of ridiculousness. It was worth a few laughs however, lol.

I'd be available to for commissions. :)

Yeah, it's pretty sad. I don't know where all the good Alberta artists went if there are any. I wonder if the claim about AN tables being sold out in 36 seconds was true more like 15 seconds. Did you get a table last year?

Alright! Well actually what I was looking for is mostly art I can use to turn into LJ icons, since I can ask you permission to use them. 8D Probably 1 or 2 characters (if 2 characters, they will be separate pics) waist up fully colored (simple or no background). How much you think that will cost about?

From my experience, it seemed like they sold out in under 5 seconds. It sells out faster every year. Last year though, they went about it a little differently. They sold the first 50 tables the normal way (send in e-mail request). Everyone who had sent in their requests too early or too late were put into a lottery for a chance a table in the other lot of 50. The people picked from the lottery were announced a week later ( ... )

I can't believe how quickly the tables go now. I pretty much stopped selling my art mostly because it pales in comparison to everyone else and people just want Cloud x Sephorith buttsex pics (or Sora x Riku, or...well you get the idea XP) and I totally don't draw that unless I'm doing it in a gag comic..or something.

Hmmm...well I do want a full sized pic actually. See that guy currently as my LJ icon (blonde dude in red and purple)? That's the guy I want drawn. 8D I'll get you some offical reference pics once I locate them.

I'll be out of town for a while after March 15th, but before that as well as after I come back, I'll certainly still be available for commissions.
