Sunshine is awesome.

The special effects are the main star of the movie--the Sun effects are mah-vellous. I like I find traces of Stanley Kubrick, James Cameron and Steven Spielberg, and countless sci-fi geekery abound here, though I give credit to Danny Boyle for clearly making this his own.
