She may have Alzheimer's Disease or some form of dementia.

Honey, you know it's much different and far more complicated than she "doesn't care about us anymore". I'm sure that if she could act differently, she would. She just mentally is not capable of it right now.

If you don't mind me asking, how long ago did this start?
