R.I.P Laptop
So, last week my laptop power adapter broke. There was an incident in which dog, cord, and computer met with terrible results (and a resounding thunk). I ordered a new adapter, and it came, but unfortunately, it didn't resolve the problem and I am sad to say, I think the damage is quite permanent ( Read more... ) -

Go Out...Support Nebuta in Little Tokyo!
The Nebuta festival is coming to Little Tokyo (Los Angeles) this weekend (Sunday the 19th), to help stimulate interest in a once thriving area, now slightly defunct (and very close to skid row, as Shannon and I found out that time).
It's a festival! WEEEEE...in AMERICA!

A Kai and his bear
I thought this was cute. He does it all the time, walking around with that bear in his mouth, even though it's way too big for him to do that. Sorry about the lighting...next time I'll try to turn on the lights in the other room...and get used to the video feature (it's on my old Canon Sure shot, but I'd never used it before!) -
