Jack and Jenna have been sleeping together for a month when Liz cracks. (The straw that breaks the camel's back? Jenna talking about how Jack likes to brush her hair. Which is not extremely bad, Liz supposes... it's weird, not bad, but she knows it's got to be the prelude to some super gross story that involves nudity.) So she excuses herself, telling Jenna she needs to do something right away. Something she forgot about and... whatever, it doesn't matter what it is. "Stop asking questions!" she tells Jenna, though Jenna hasn't asked any. (She's already returned her full attention to texting whoever she's been texting.) Shortly after that, Liz storms into Jack's office. Says, "You have to break up with Jenna. It's not fair. You get to have sex with a star of my show, and I can't make out with a star of my show? You can have sex with my friend, but I can't fool around with one of yours?"

Jack seems unfazed, like he was waiting for her to run into his office and say, Stop doing my friend. "The situations are different. Jenna and I are casual--"

"Danny and I were casual--"

"And you claiming Danny as your cuddle partner altered our friendship, turning him into a man who talked to me about ice dancing. I'm certain Jenna hasn't changed--"

"Oh, she's changed. Into a woman who talks about having sex with you, which is worse than ice dancing. The other day she was going on and on about how your fingers are long and thick, and I don't know why that's a good thing--"

"Even you should be able to figure out the benefit--"

"I don't want to figure it out." She will never let herself figure it out. "I should not be in the middle of this. If it's not serious, then you should be able to stop. You can both stop and go have sex with people I don't see every day."

He hesitates. "I wouldn't say our relationship is entirely devoid of feeling--"

"No! How can you fall in love with *everyone*? Really, Jack, what is wrong with you?"

"I didn't say I was in love with her."

"Then stop it. Stop being a double-standard-having d-bag."

"Why are you so upset about this?"

"I just told you. Why can't you *listen* to me?"

"I heard you."

"Then really *listen.* Don't make me come up with some stupid plan, like you did with Danny. Jenna's not going to believe me if I tell her I'm in love with you."

There's not a moment's pause before he replies, "I think she would."

"Jack--"

He waves his hand. "Okay."

"Okay?"

"If it's that important to you, Lemon, I'll end it."

"It's important to my show. It's important to my sanity--"

"I understand. I'll talk to Jenna."

Liz wonders if Jack's lying; if he'll just keep his thing with Jenna going in secret.

That... that would be fine, right? As long as she doesn't have to hear about their... whatever.

Everything will be fine.
