it suddenly dawned on me how the talk emerged. he has never seen me with shopping bags. in fact, most of my pacakges are so small, i usually throw them into my handbag.

sound like we are in the same shoes, my bf ask me the same question all the time.

Cos he wants me to SAVE MONEY! and not spend my hard-earned money away. And he wants a thrifty lady to be his gf and his future wife, not someone who know nuts abt finances.
