Not being able to tell who is who and why they are doing what they are doing means Bad Characterization. The writer either doesn't know the characters that well, or they can't express what they do know.

It drives me totally nuts when writers make up *some character* and then try and stick a Turtles' head on them. Raph raping women on the street?? WTF?

If it's not recc'ed or I don't know the author, I won't read it. Just too hard on the heart. =op

I... I just could not vote... I am still dying to post a scathing review, and I try never to review stuff I so totally hate.

Excuse me, I need to go to the store to buy an extra-large bottle of bleach for my eyes... and memory... and my laptop...

the way a man doesn’t notice his arm is missing until he sees the blood spilling out like water from a broken tap.

WTF?! Not NOTICE his arms missing until the blood...?! NOT notice?! WTF?! Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh?

I have NO idea what is going on there.

The bit about not noticing that one's arm is missing until you see it is actually not as weird as some might think. There are chemicals in the brain that block signals from the body that let the brain know an injury occurred; Olympic runners often don't know they're hurt until after they've stopped running and the adrenaline rush wanes. The same with getting in a fight: you don't always feel pain from where you got pummeled until later ( ... )
