My parents think I am a machine. For the past 12 years I've never given them anything to complain about in regard to my grades. Even when I did get top marks, they did nothing for me. ugh I so know how you feel, at least to some extent. My parents are the same way with my grades, too. And when I mess up, they tend to make offhanded comments about me that are so ridiculous and exaggerated and nowhere near the truth, like they don't even know me AT ALL.

I don't know. Parents just expect too much sometimes, and they forget that we're only 16, and that we SHOULD have a life outside of school. Ah. I don't get why they can't just appreciate the simple fact that we TRY, unlike most people.

I've no idea why, but I tend to see this situation with Asian parents. You get good grades and they tell you "you could've done better if you cut down on your computer time, yadayada..." I definitely feel you. :(
