What makes a woman hot?

Hot chick:
Big boobs, small waist, youthful glow.

Probably something along those lines, yes?

In the last few months, I have run across (freaking bombarded) by articles written from women in their 40's (sometimes older) bemoaning their lack of hotness. (AKA, New York TimesStephanie Dolgoff feels all women of a certain age ( Read more... )

My guess is maybe they like a woman who doesn't think of herself as expired goods.

I think you are so, so SO right. That, and:

Nothing is sexier than self-acceptance

SO TRUE. I see this all the time.

Plus, it's not all about being an object to be oggled--it's also about how you treat them. If you smile, meet a person's eye, and listen to him, that *instantly* makes you more attractive! (I know I'm more friendly with people who smile, meet my eye, and listen to me.)

Thank u exactly what I believe, it's my experience. Not to oversimplify it but u put out an expired goods vibe, well, who wants to be with that.

Thanks much for the feedback!

She's not hot, because she lacks the confidence in herself to get past such superficial nonsense.

Which is a shame because, on that superficial note, I find her very hot.

So do I. Stupid waste, isn't it!

Earlier today, on Facebook, I ran across some young teenage girls that are friends of my niece.

They were literally arguing about who was uglier. I'm way uglier than you, look at my thunder thighs. It just went on and on.

Sad and stupid, all in one.

Stupid, stupid, stupid. Hotness isn't a function of age. Small minds may think a woman's "hotness" has to do solely with her looks, those of us who think realize that confidence and intelligence are far more important.

Agreed with purplesquirrel. I'd add creative achievement, even creative effort, into the mix of confidence and intelligence. And personal compassion. Including what you're trying to do to help some of the homeless you've found through that reporter, and assisting others who want to help.

Nothing of those has anything to do with physical age limits.

And, in my book, they have everything to do with attractiveness.
