After a dozen co-workers asked me if I was wearing anything green, and being puzzled because I wasn't, I got to thinking. No, I'm not wearing green today. That seems to be a North American derivation of a religious holiday whose original colour was blue. Fuck Christmas. And at the moment I really don't care if this little sentiment brings everyone else down. You know, I really, REALLY want to have a reason to go to Labrador next summer. Now if only I could come up with a way for work to pay for it. But not being a field engineer or project manager, I still can't think of a good reason for me to have to visit some of our remote sites in my professional capacity, dammit!

I've been bitching about the dearth of decent shows on TV for some time now, but things are about to look up. Caught the encore of the first episode of the new series 'Fringe' last night, and damn. Well, today has started out just LOVELY. Idiots on the highway... fer fucksake, people, if you can't drive anywhere close to the posted speed limit, get the FUCK off the road until after rush hour!
