So backstory - I created my Dreamwidth account back in 2010 and then forgot to cross-post so I had to hand-import the last 4 years. Not actually that much work ( Read more... )

thanks! i've been trying to remember what else was going on - obviously there's weirdness with Asher since Asher spent years on a vendetta against JC so that would have included Neal (who Asher knew about and whom Julianna had just adored as a wee bebe :( my timeline is probably messed up there but meh) and Neal would be rather wary of Anita, being an arm of the law and all that.

it's interesting what sorts of story ideas one comes up with in the moment :)

NGL I feel like Im being punished for LKH being a terrible person and writer. Imma go cry in the corner and dream about what could have been.

This was so awesome and kickass - seriously :) Of course, I wish there was more, but thanks for sharing... that's such a cool crossover idea and with Matt Bomer's looks and the smoothness of Neal's cons, I can totally see him being related to Jean-Claude, lol.

thanks! I picture Neal as a con artist who's good at heart who likes people and seeing and learning new things - and he's seen a lot over the years. And of course Jean Claude was a bit of a con artist himself :)

Of course, up to the point where Neal's only changing trains in Chigago, it also makes a good beginning for a White Collar/Highlander crossover. I can just as easily see Neal as a 300-year-old Immortal, maybe Amanda' or Cory Raines' student, or maybe someone more settled's "wild child." Imagine Marcus Constantine seeing one of Neal's forgeries come into the museum and thinking, "Where did I go wrong?" :)
