This is *wonderful*. The most unlikely of all slayers - but they would be, wouldn't they? I was going to go on and tell you all the parts I love best, but that's pretty much every part. And Faith just seems like the perfect person in this role, because you know that, with anyone else, Lisa would just cut through any bullshit offered.

I'm glad you liked it! When you get down to it, Faith and Cuddy are a lot alike, snarky and kick-ass and smart. And hot, but that's beside the point :D

The imagery in this one is just stunning. I was breathless the entire time, just waiting for the reveal, and when it came in the form of Faith it just made me squee. Seriously. I have mad Cuddy love and somehow the idea of her as a slayer just fits. Bravo! Very nicely done.

The choice in verb tense (very as it happens, very now) was deliberate on my part, to indicate how ZOMG crazy everything is as she experiences it. That, and I was feeling contrary when I sat down to write this :D

Some friends and I were talking about the show tonight, and we all agree that the big three (House, Cuddy and Wilson) are our faves -- they have the big acting chops. I tend to like Cuddy best of all. I'm a sucker for strong, well-acted female characters.

Oh, I really liked it. Cuddy as an activated slayer is unique and I think you caught her to a "T". And doing it all without a Buffy character until the end -- very nice. At first I kinda thought it was Cameron as the new slayer... I like how you set that up to reveal it was Cuddy.

I'm glad you liked it :) I wanted to build it up, rachet up the tension and then have the final reward at the end when Cuddy (and the reader) meet the answer in the form of Faith. I love Faith.
