I do it with mirrors. Or maybe it's with coffee. I am going through a total Janus!love phase, because that was a great episisode with him and can you imagine someone as smart as him ("Oh look! I can build time machines!") being content with not interfering?

Plus I love the mythological tie-ins of the god Janus.

Very intriguing! I would not have made the Janus connection, but it makes total sense here. And SGA's Janus was just smarmy and arrogant enough to be one of the Xena gods, wasn't here? Good stuff.

Well, I figure that anyone who builds a time machine wants to meddle in the lives of mortals, and that kind of personality trait isn't going to go away with Ascension. Look at Daniel; he only lasted a year.

Janus, I knew that, but now my mind is making connections... Did Janus maybe exhibit a few Ori traits later on, you know like needing worshipers for power? B/c if so then this could so tie into the Halloween costume thing with Buffy... Gah. I'm not allowed to read your fic any more , you give me ideas. Ideas lead to me writing & not packing for my move in just three days. You evil, evil, writer of unspeakable skill with the art of the crossover, I think I need to go back to sorting & not reading & commenting & wanting more.

I liked it very much but it reminded me of a fan fiction in which O'Neill was an exiled ancient and his real name was Janus. Damm, now I have to go story hunting.
Jack, Daniel or Sheppard would be my tip, if one of them ascended later on but tend more to Jack or Sheppard because the would be better as a guard... Daniel would more be Hermes/Mercury or something like that or it is an oc ascended ancient.
I really would love to read what you come up with in the future because this one sounded like a great start.
No, now I have it that is Janus from Stargate Atlantis, he didn't leave a very deep imprison on me if I nearly forgot him but that what he did in your fan fiction would fit im to a t.
