Seeing Japan eats into writing (not that that's new)

So, 15,000 words in January, not bad considering I didn't really start until after the first week and the vacation in Tokyo. ( cut for length )

Is there a lot of snow where you are?

Where we are it has snowed at all. It snowed lightly a few days in Yokohama in January, but less than an inch. In the mountains though they get lots of snow.

I remember reading a book about the province of Echigo where they get such massive amounts of snow that people tunnel from one house to the next as the village virtually disappears. It's in the mountains somewhere, though. We've had a very mild winter this year, thank goodness, I never even turned the heat on in my house! But hey, you're writing a lot and that's great!!

I wrote about half of what you did in January but the year is yet young. :)

I like this challenge because it is rather laid back, and any wordage is a good thing. So, go you! Think you're also doing a smaller challenge, slightly. And remember in November you can always do Nano to catch up.

Snow Monkeys, yeah! At least Jedi was home for awhile. Skiing, yeah, not this woman. I'd likely break my neck or plant my face into a tree, or fly off a cliff face. Nope, I'll let you have all that fun.

Omaha finally got snow this winter and cold weather. Just in time to burn it all off later this week when temps go into 40s.

Congrads on reaching your writing goal.

I think it was snow monkeys we did in December and then we did a hot spa water park in January. The snow monkeys were odd, just out running around with the people.

Japan has had more than usual snow this year. Was telling one of the Japanese the opposite is true of America this year, it's been a rather warm and snowless winter.

And thanks for the writing congrats.
