Oh wow, it's over?chocobayashiJune 28 2008, 16:58:28 UTC
I remember you saying this would end soon but I was thinking it'd be in like...20 or so chapters. For the record, I haven't read it yet but I'll be all over this as soon as I get off of work!

That wrapped up nicely. Very nicely. What with the Snakes and the ghosts and the ugliest cat ever, really good ending after 71(read:78?) chapters.
Especially liked Adamska having a conversation with 'himself.' That ocelot is 'so' the cat in Pandora's box.
I really can't leave a comment that'll do this justice, but I really hope you get that I've appreciated the near endless entertainment. Stray has really brightened a lot of harsh, tiresome days for me and I gotta say I love you for it. *^_^*

Writing Ocelot talking to himself is disturbingly fun.
As I was saying, I was worried that this ending wouldn't be quite satisfactory. Didn't want it to feel like a cop-out. But to me, it felt like the natural progression. I wanted to leave a little ambiguity. And Ocelot does always get that last brain-breaking phonecall.
I'm very glad to hear that. Always happy to brighten someone's days with my brainlemmings.
This is the part where we all stand up and cheer wildly and throw roses at your feet and exclaim "Encore! Encore!"
Stray has been a fantastic and enjoyable read. (It's also given me a new pairing to fangirl over.) I'm probably going to end up re-reading the entire thing eventually...
Thanks you! I was worried that it would be a terrible letdown - originally, I'd planned to end it at what is now about the halfway point. So the traditional rising action/climax graph got kinda tossed to the weasels. I ended up trying to tie it in thematically. It's funny; I'd been doing a lot of things without being quite sure why, and they kind of revealed themselves to me - as douchebaggy as that sounds - right when I needed them to.

Also, the final bits of dialogue were awesome. I'm kind of glad you ended it here. Going on too much longer probably would've become too tedius.
But, hey! You wrote the most reviewed MGS fanfiction on ff.net! How do you feel? :D

I don't plan to write any more fanfic. Cold turkey, on to blaze original horizons.
...I hesitate to say, because I know that's the instant I'll end up writing more.
Thank you! I do love writing dialogue. But it had to end sometime. In fact, I'm surprised it hasn't already long outstayed its welcome.
Holy crap, is that true? Probably an effect of being around for so damn long, heh.

Otherwise this will be a very boring summer.
