-why hello, comm, here I have a pile of invite codes for
AO3. It's a great alternative to ff.n if you're looking for a place to archive your fanfics. PM me if you want one.
And here are two
flashslash posts, a commentfic and a character study - these are all a few months old now, so I thought I should share them here before I forgot about them entirely. >

...for some reason, I actually really want to see that now. And the existence of a fanfic meme based on the writing of John Hodgman makes me happier than I can possibly describe. :D
And now for something completely different: Gray Fox has always seemed like a very hard character to write for just because it is pretty hard to get inside his head. Despite the fact that he was in four games, you never really get to "meet" him much; outside of his guilt regarding Naomi, odd affection for Snake, respect for Big Boss, and his belief that his only worth is as a fighter, it can sometimes be difficult to get a real handle on his personality beyond that.

Fox ;__; (Four games, five boss battles - no one else tries to kill you as often as he does WHY DO I LOVE HIM) I guess the main problem is that you mostly 'meet' him when he's either being Null or being the Cyborg Ninja, so if you want to know about the not-a-psychotic-killing-machine-Fox who Snake and Naomi both assure us exists you're kinda digging for scraps. And MG2, where his behaviour is so totally logical and comprehensible and not even slightly batshit insane. See icon.
I can't find his sense of self, so I like to assume he might not have one because that's kinda desolate and scary and fascinating. .__.
