Any of you Supernatural fans noticed the tensions between Wincesters and the het SPN people growing? Like I see everywhere things about Wincest only be good or people whomake a point to show thei art/picspams/fics/WHATEVER are only about them being brothers. Has it just had this long to brew? LOL @ fandom drama. Haven't been reading much fic recently, so I had no idea things were escalating there.

I'm staying spoiler-free, but I did catch vauge snippets about a girl character or something being introduced and I guess since it's winding down closer to the premiere, it's gettin' the girlies all riled up and emotional about it, lol. I think.

It's not even just fic. It's like spammed all over the SPN comms. And I'm just so annoyed by it.

I'm fairly spoiler free as well, though I do know a bit more about the girl than you seem to. And you could be right. That could be what's getting everyone riled up.

I know I have Moby'album "play" somewhere. I also have both of the XFiles CD's but it could take me a while to upload them. Do you wan't mp3 or any other format?

I have Maroon 5, Moby and the XF CD's, but not on me. I can upload at the weekend if you like. (At least, I think I can, never uploaded a whole album before but it can't be that hard.)

I have Maroon 5 (actually I LOVE thsi album) and XF FTF too. I can download them.

Hah. That's why I decidedI won't be actively discussing ANYTHING in any fannish community anymore. Only with the friends on my f-list. No community is immune from drama. And you can't change it, can't influence people's thinking. Sometimes I think it's because MANY of the fans (take XF or SN) are young people, like...VERY young. They can't imagine there can be more than het love (speaking of MSR) or brotherly love or that there canbe only friendship, and no love. They project themselves on the characters (which is normal), but they behave as if the only way for the character to develop mustbe THEIR way. Gah. Such narrow-mindedness.

I think you're right, it is the younger ones that do it. Why I've come to like the slash community so much better. People are more mature (although I've found some who have this loathing for het and do the same as the het people *headdesk*) and usually more willing to listen. Ah. I just don't understand why everyone gets hyped up over a TV show. *shakes head*

I'll try to copy the FTF CD on my PC and upload it somewhere tomorrow (it's evening here already). I've just only flicked through quickly through your collection, I will pay closer attention tomorrow and maybe pick out smthg for myself. Btw, have you heard the band Athlete? Asking because you like Maroon 5. Though Athlete is a bit different, it became my fav band together with Maroon 5 ( ... )

Hee. SS does take some getting used to. It's not something you can listen to all the time (like I can with say John Mayer), but get in the right mood and they're great.

At 15...homosexual situations didn't gross me out. But I know it took me a bit to get into fic--even at 19.

I was talking with unamaga last night and we got onto the huge fight between the BNFs (in pairings) in the HP fandom. With this entire controversy between Het and Wincest, I hope that we don't have a fight between the BNFs. It'd be scary, to have our sparkly fandom torn apart. This is the nicest fandom I've been in - (I used to think) everyone is so tolerant of what other people like. And just because I like Wincest more doesn't mean I don't like Het or Gen. I really hope Sarah will come back! And yeah, IT'S ALL FAKE. Sheesh. That's what happened in the HP fandom, especially with the last book. People got mad at JK Rowling because she didn't make Harry and Hermione fall in love! That's how insane some people get. I just don't understand - we all know Sam and Dean will NEVER get together. Just let us enjoy it and peace and we will go to Special Hell for our sinful deeds ( ... )
