Yesterday, after getting a call from our local sherrif's department regarding bad weather for the evening included tornado warnings and winds expected to be in the 80-90 mph range, I decided to prepare a bit. (It was a recorded call, but still, how cool is it that they do that?!) Ran stuff over to my sister's house for a garage sale this weekend,

Yup, Dayton pretty much gets our weather 5 degrees warmer and 8-12 hours later. Just checked the radar--the vast majority of the storm line has run well south of my route and is almost past Cinci, so shouldn't be a problem.

I was falling asleep as the thunder started last night, didn't look like we got much out of it at all. Saw a few downed trees and one traffic light out on the way to work. Fairly anti-climactic.

That is kind of cool, that you get a warning phone call.

Glad that nothing severe happened and you got to see some nifty storms.
