I've only read this chapter once so I will refrain from commenting other than noting it is as awesome as the first. However, I will be sorely disappointed if it was Stiles's arrival in Beacon Hills2 that caused the supernatural instability and said instability can only be cured by his death. We know he'd do it happily if it was the only way to save the people he loves. Damn, but it would be so totally unfair.

Thank you! Glad you're liking it. :D

And WOW.

Well. You will be pleased to know that that's an awful possibility that didn't even occur to me. It's occurring to me now, though. AND GIVING ME NIGHTMARES ALSO.

I try not to end stories on a note of unrelenting horribleness, for the most part. At least not surprise!horrible. I mean, who wants that? If you wanted surprise!horrible, you could go experience real life, am I right?

I thought you had covered this by having the Hales, who are way smarter in things supernatural than Stiles, describe his presence as a symptom but still... Also, no one ever suggested this idea, like Stiles who always looks for the dark cloud in every sunny sky, to debunk it.

But on the other hand Stiles suggests the Prometheus/Christ/Baldur comparison. I suppose that it would have needed to be Sysiphus if he were doomed to never achieve his goal of protecting his friends.

"Derek despairs of anything in his life making sense ever again."

ROTFL.

Not many authors can make declarative statements in their writing work. Usually that kind of telling just lies flat. You, however, pull it off. And it makes me laugh. :)

XD I'm glad you like it!

Sometimes a well-placed declarative sentence can be the most hilarious. I think I learned this from Terry Pratchett. :D

Before I forget, why does Stiles choose Erica rather than Isaac as the one to recruit into werewolfdom? His situation puts his life and sanity in greater jeopardy than Erica's declining health. Having Scott "adopt" him doesn't begin to address his problem.

Is it just her badassery? Isaac is more like Scott, a marshmallow inside. But on the other hand he's fearless and faithful to a fault. Erica...not so good with the being true to her friends. Looking out for number one is a great survival trait but not so helpful in hopeless, doomsday scenarios.

He picked Erica because becoming a werewolf is the only way to fix a chronic medical problem. There's nothing the human world can do for her.

Isaac doesn't actually need to be supernatural to fix his problems--he just needs to get the hell out of his father's house, which Stiles is confidently leaving up to Scott (and, by extension, Mrs McCall, who I suspect would be a seriously fierce ally on this topic. One wonders about Scott's dad). I also think Stiles is inclined to keep as many people out of the supernatural world as he reasonably can.

Okay, good point but I assume that he'll be a little more specific about the horrors Isaac is experiencing. But no, of course, not in your story.

I would still not describe Erica as a very reliable tool for the coming battle.

Stiles isn't thinking of Erica as a tool. If anything, he's thinking of the Hale family as a tool to protect the very small number of people he cares about--Scott, the sheriff, Derek, probably Laura by now, Erica, maybe Boyd eventually. If it's going to take a year for Erica to get up to werewolf speed, she won't be involved in the current supernatural kerfuffle at all.

Stiles is making them regress.
Stiles makes everyone regress, which 95% of the time leads to hilarity. Yes good.

Stilllllles, always looking out for people. ;_;

“Because it’s a rocks fall, everyone dies kind of story, okay?”
Man, Stiles state of being is going to be a perpetual "I don't know if I want to laugh or cry" situation for me, isn't it?

Derek needs to learn to say no to Laura. He’s definitely going to learn someday. Apparently not today, but someday.
Whipped baby bro. ♥

Man, I wish I could be as good at multi-tasking as Stiles is. :( I am so terrible at it.

He won’t risk making Stiles feel that loss again.
Oh look, he's learning! Well kinda, since this is AU!Derek and not actual Derek. Who is dead. Wow, I just made myself sad again.

Lydiaaaaaaaa~ Let me worship your sassy smartness and cold beauty.

Erica and Boyd should make out. All the time. Just saying.

There’s a thump to Isaac’s right, and he jumps and turns to see that Stiles has manhandled Scott McCall into the seat next to Isaac and across from Erica, and is ( ... )

Stiles has no time for other people's dignity!

He really is very 'don't know whether to laugh or cry'--here, but also in canon. It's kind of his thing. ;_;

*laughs at Derek's pain* I think he must've been the middle child to beat all middle children. ^_^

Man, I wish I could be as good at multi-tasking as Stiles is. This is apparently one benefit of ADD and ADHD. You can multi-task like crazy.

LYDIA. She is the most awesome/terrifying. *bows down*

Erica and Boyd should make out. All the time. Just saying. AGREED.

l-lol, sometimes Stiles reminds me of a sheepdog on the verge of a nervous breakdown, so I figured I should let him have all his people safely in one place now and again. XD
