Yes, you certainly have succeeded! It was so spot on, their characterizations and interactions and the reason behind their failure at getting along. Seriously, after reading this, it's become CANON in my head (unless Hoshino suddenly decided to put in her own version of these details XD)

And yes, Kanda's backstory sure gives a lot of sense to a lot of things. Suddenly, Kanda makes sense. And also his relationship with Allen that "has always been like that" made a lot of sense too XDD

I love how young Allen is smart and old beyond his age...and can be so incredibly stupid and endearing at the same time. The thing about saying what people wanted to hear and be what people wanted him to be is just, mm...I WANT TO WHACK HIS HEAD, HARD. If I were Mana I would have, just, BOYS AND THEIR IDIOCY.

Kanda's and Leverrier's interaction was epic to see. It's lovely too, the reference to the pound of flesh ♥ I like how he's intentionally defying them and still not telling any lies.

And can I just say, I feel sorry for the guy who, though (or maybe through being) a snivelling coward, has unintentionally pressed both their buttons and is caught in this cross-fire. He should just shut his door and forget things ever happened.

So, yes, it was lovely seeing how fail they can be :D

Heh, ALLEN. <3 I'm pretty sure Cross tried that whacking him upside the head thing, and NO DICE. XD Of course, I sometimes worry that what Allen actually wants for himself is death, so maybe it's just as well that he spends all his time worrying about what other people want. ?

Kanda and Leverrier, I like to think they have a kind of silent death feud going. :D

THAT GUY. All I can say is, at least his day will improve when Allen and Kanda leave his house. He may even be thoroughly distracted from akuma, so Lenalee can chalk it up as a win. ^_^

They both make terrible sense (Allen wanting to be what people need him to be is kind of heartbreaking as well and absolutely spot-on) and eeeee this was just delightful. ♥

Recent chapters have been so painful/awesome. I've been haphazardly going through and rereading early Kanda scenes, and wow, I need to sit down and properly reread the series. GAH, that whole thing with the finder in the beginning, it's like, "Oh my God, Kanda Yuu, you totally gave that psychotic lecture while choking a guy in order to hurt yourself, didn't you?" D:

My, I really need to reread it all as well, I don't even remember the finder thing. °^° I only went back to when we first see the seal on his chest and went "WHAA ?!" at the discovery that it didn't always used to have those... tendrils... thing... they've been growing since that time or something.
